First quarter of operation in the UK completed. We’re still relying on our European mainland clients, which is causing some issues with the strength of the pound against the euro, but we can cut our cloth accordingly. We’re still taking in roughly one academic paper every day, but we are finding authors are economising by choosing longer turnaround times, which is good for us too as it means we can allocate the best possible editor for the job.
We were pleased to welcome new clients from the University of Hohenheim, Lapeenrauta University of Technology, Lullea University and Vienna University in Quarter 1 of 2015 and hope to establish a long and mutually beneficial cooperation with them.
This years business planning is now set and we plan to approach prospects in more German, Swedish and Finnish universities and we will also run some marketing campaigns in UK universities. We are not ruling out sponsoring some activities at EURAM 2015, but it is not looking too encouraging from an economic value perspective at the moment. However, we hope to see some of our most valued clients in Warsaw.
